Hard drives fail more often than what vendors say. That’s according to a study by Carnegie Mellon University. Makers say fewer than 1 percent of drives fail annually in large installations. But Carnegie Mellon found replacements of 2 to 4 percent of drives. In some cases, 13 percent of drives were replaced.

Many of our clients have been searching for an easier more effective way to backup their data.  Beginning in 2007, Phoenix began offering online backups to their clients.  Online backups help eliminate the problems associated with forgetting to change out tapes as well as forgetting to take a copy of your data off site each night.

Our service provides a “set it and forget it” service.  Clients can access their local backup client at any time to view the status of an active backup, the history.  Enjoy the benefits of continuous backups, meaning there is never any lost time or data throughout the day.  As a file is saved, it will automatically be encrypted and sent to our secure data center.

Who Would Benefit from this Service?

Small and Medium business

Realtors

Law Firms

Medical Clinics

Traveling Sales

Basic pricing is built around the amount of data being backed up.  The numbers of backups (history) and frequency is completely adjustable base on individual business needs.  Our pricing is flexible, can be billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly, and processed against a credit card for easy payment.

 How Secure is my Data?

Each client creates an encryption key to access their data. All data is encrypted before it leaves their PC’s or Servers - even Phoenix cannot access the data unless the client provides their backup password.

All data is stored in a Tier 3 datacenter located in Minnetonka, MN.  Our facilities feature numerous layers of security as well as redundancies to prevent any down time caused by loss of power or the internet.  All data is replicated to a second secure data center outside the region providing increased data continuity.

Combined with the 448 bit military-strength encryption based on the Blowfish algorithm, your data is secured and even meets the compliance needs that government regulations such as SOX and HIPAA require.

Why Online Backup?

Online backups offer your business flexibility and convenience.  As your data needs increase, so does the ability to grow your storage capacity without having to reinvest in new hardware or tapes.  Save time and money with online backups offering easy file recovery anytime anywhere.

Stop worrying about recovering files from days, weeks, or months after they've been changed or even deleted, with the ability to setup retention policies based on date or even revisions of a file (up to 99 different revisions).

Our online backup automatically selects critical data (like Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, My Documents, Favorites, etc) with its file selection wizards for backup.

Advanced features include Open file Backup, System State backup, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server and Oracle Server backups
